Speaker: Margaret-Ann Armour, Associate Dean of Science, Diversity, University of Alberta Why are there so few women in leadership in the sciences and engineering? Why is it important that we have more women in decision making roles in these fields? We will discuss some of the reasons why women either do not enter the sciences, or leave them before being in leadership positions. We will look at some of the initiatives which are being taken to change the situation and why it is important to have diversity at the decision-making table.
