Topic: Project and Personal Branding for Project Managers

Branding helps organizations and individuals connect with target audiences to build engagement, trust and loyalty. Today, project managers are tasked with increasingly complex projects that compete with multiple projects/ priorities for stakeholders’ attention and engagement. Also, as the business world has become hyper competitive and cluttered and, project managers struggle to stand out to potential project sponsors and employers for professional and career growth. Branding strategies can assist project managers effectively deal with these challenges by setting clear expectations, positioning and differentiation with the target audiences for their projects as well as themselves.
In this interactive session consisting of group discussion and exercises, the participants are expected to gain following hands-on skills:
- Ability to articulate project/ personal brand essence and identity
- Ability to identify and analyze direct and indirect competition for projects/ self
- Ability to develop and communicate clear project/ personal brand positioning to target audiences
- Ability to leverage social media to establish project/ personal brand
Ehtisham (Eddy) Anwer is a B2B (business-to-business) Marketing and Branding enthusiast both professionally and academically. He is a Serial-Marketer, incessantly bringing innovative products, services, brands and thoughts to the industry and academia. Ehtisham has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA and a Master of Science in Management. Ehtisham has over 17 years of industry experience in engineering, management, and business sales, marketing & branding at several leading organizations. He is also a certified six-sigma black belt with extensive experience in managing complex projects. Ehtisham is very passionate about training and coaching. He has conducted numerous workshops and trainings for business professionals as well as university students. Ehtisham lives in Edmonton AB with his wife and two daughters and enjoys cooking and exercising in his free time.
