Description
This six-day, comprehensive series of workshops prepares you to write the PMP certification exam and to pass it with high marks, the first time. Certification will ignite your career potential. Total workshop hours 42 hrs, exceeds exam requirement of 35 hrs
The six sessions give practice in advanced-level management principles that you will apply in your day-to-day work. Furthermore, the sessions relate Canadian industry terminology to PMI's terminology, which is useful but often unfamiliar. Group work and sample exam questions will cement your readiness for the PMP exam.

- Sat, Mar 03: Introduction to PMI; applying for certification; planning your study and exam writing; how to answer PMP multiple-choice questions
- Fri, Mar 16: Professional responsibilities; project integration
- Sat, Apr 07: Project quality management; project scope management
- Fri, Apr 27: Human resources, stakeholder, and communications management
- Sat, May 12: Project time and procurement management
- Fri, May 25: Project cost and risk management
Who should attend?
This program is designed to prepare new and intermediate Project Managers and project team members to pass PMI’s PMP Certification Examination with high marks. It also meets the needs of individuals who are interested in learning more about PMI’s approach to project management.

The workshop instructor
Dr. Sami Fahmy is founder and president of the Performance Excellence Institute, a consulting firm dedicated to teaching and supporting the latest and most advanced approaches to Project and Construction Management. Dr. Fahmy is a Civil Engineer by education and a Project Manager by education and training.
He has 40+ years of PM practical experience covering a wide range of Project Management and technical areas, including 30 years with Public Works and Government Services Canada, where he led and oversaw the training of Project Managers.
Dr. Fahmy's enthusiasm for teaching makes him a highly informative, interactive, and entertaining educator. He is one of Alberta’s most in-demand construction educators. He has taught courses (including courses at the graduate-level) for NAIT, the University of Calgary, and the University of Alberta; and he is a Global Registered Educational Provider with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
